So, I took that one back, today, and got the E-MU Xboard 49 again. It was all right, but nowhere near the Xboard, IMO. I took the unit back to GC and picked up the M-Audio 61ES controller. On the other hand, ProteusX LE (coupled with CubaseLE) would play all of the notes (whether they were 3,5 or 6 at a time) but with great static & latency. If I attempted to add a fourth note it would not sound unless I released a finger from one of the other three. Any voice that was called up in Reason would sound just fine - but no more than three at a time. I have Reason 3.0 on my computer, as well as CubaseLE. What I had (very frequently) experienced was very staticy sounding notes, and problems with latency. I also didn't mean to be as vague as I was, on my initial post. I apologize for the elapased time - between my last posting and now, but I had really been quite busy.
